Itinerary for a 4-day Sahara Desert Tour from Marrakech

We will plan a great Marrakech tour for you, picking you up from your hotel and taking you around Morocco's picturesque and cultural landmarks. This private Marrakech tour provide a more personalised experience at a time to suit you.

Day 1: Marrakech - Atlas - Ait Benahddou - Ouarzazate - Dades Gorges

We pick you up from your hotel and drive you to the high Atlas Mountains to begin our tour. We go to the UNESCO-recognized town of Ait Ben Haddou. Many films, notably Gladiator, have used it as a backdrop. We have lunch here before seeing historical sites such as Ouarzazate's Taourirt Kasbah and Roses Valley, which is famous for its Rose Festival. We also pass via Skoura, El Kelaa des M'Gouna, and Boumalene Dades, all of which are little Berber communities. Our last destination for the day is the latter. We'll spend the night in a hotel with dinner and breakfast included.

Dades Gorge - Todra Gorge - Merzouga Day 2

Drive back into the valley after breakfast to see the spectacular rock structure known as "the monkey toes." Leave the Dades valley in the direction of Tinrghir and the Todra valley. Take in the magnificent views of the valley from the old mud Berber villages. Arrive in the Gorge and take a walk beneath the 300-meter-high red wall, where many rock climbers come to practice their favorite sport. Continue to Erfoud, following which we will depart for Merzouga. When we get in Merzouga, we prepare to ride a camel into the desert to watch the sunset and overnight in Berber tents in the desert. In a desert tent, you'll have dinner and spend the night.

Merzouga – Nkoub – Draa Valley – Agdez – Ouarzazate, Day 3

Early morning departure to catch the dawn on the dunes, return to the hotel on dromedaries, and then begin the journey to Tafilalet's massive palm grove via Rissani after breakfast. The route leads to Alnif (on-the-spot lunch), Tazarine Oasis, N'kob, and the Draa Valley. Then it's on to Ouarzazate via a small Berber settlement called Agdez and the Anti-Atlas mountains (1660m high). In the hotel for dinner and the night.

Day 4: Marrakech - Ouarzazate - Fint Oasis

After breakfast, return to Marrakesh through the Tizi N Tichka crossing and the High Atlas Mountains. Our services come to an end with a transfer to the Riad.
